A long time ago, when the land was newly formed, a Mighty force was felt upon the land. This force contained the "magic" to make Man feel many emotions. Man, being new also, saw this force as a wondrous thing to capture and keep as his own. Man looked upon the force with Awe, wrapping himself within its' cloak of joy and happiness. Man took this force with him, everywhere he went. Soon All upon the land were capturing a portion of the force, to keep as their own. And the force, being a Mighty force, soon grew bigger and more majestic. For the force knew that in order to grow, it must be shared. The force knew that the more People it became a part of, the bigger its' Magic would be. Man learned from the force that it was a good thing to take himself a Helpmate to assist him in his daily life. Man chose wisely and picked a Helpmate who also had captured a portion of the force. Man learned that in this way he doubled the portion he had before, and all was good for the man. And as children were born to the Man and his Helpmate they were taught to find and capture their own portions of the Mighty force. But, as is the way with Man, He became greedy. Not only did Man want His share, but that of the Helpmate and that of the children's. Man soon became obsessed with owning ALL of the force and sharing it with no other person. Man spent all of His time looking at His reflection in the water. He spent every waking moment looking upon Himself. At night, His dreams were not of how to Honor the Land for its' beauty or how to make this new land better for All, but how to make the Land Honor Him for his beauty. Soon the Mighty force tired of the Man and His gluttonous ways and began to reclaim itself from him. And the Mighty force became harder to find and to capture. Where the force was once abundant, bright, and in all places, it now became elusive and slipped from the clutches of Man. What is the name of this Mighty force you ask? The Mighty force
is now known as LOVE, and the moral to this story
is: When you manage to capture this Mighty force, it
will only stay with you as long as you are willing to share it. For
Love hoarded is Love lost. |
